Marc Lelangue is a bluesman in the traditional vein, whose style varies from the rural to the urban (“in the purest Chicago style”, as he says himself). For his first album, Lelangue decided to honour the classics – some close to the original (“Key to the Highway”, “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl”), others which are reworked (“Hoochie Coochie Man and the lovely “Love in Vain”). Lelangue, who is known as a formidable live performer, also opens the album with an original track “Coming Home”. Despite the studio recordings, the feel of the albums is very “live”.
