Born in Huy in february 70, Eric Legnini is one of the most talented young pianists around. After spending 2 years working in NY with the American pianist Richie Beirach, Eric Legnini performed and toured Europe with his own trio (J.L.Rassinfosse, S.Galland then Bruno Castellucci) and recorded his first album “Essentiels” (IGL080). He has played with leading musicians such as John Ruocco, Félix Simtaine, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, Dré Pallemaerts, Emmanuel Cissi, Toninho Horta, Philip Catherine, Hein Van de Geyn, Jacques Pelzer, Marcia Maria. He frequently tours with world famous Toots Thielemans. Teacher of jazz piano at the Brussels Royal Conservatory, he also composes music for film soundtrack or dance company. Now, he is touring Europe with Stefano di Batista and Flavio Boltro quintet, and the “Frères Belmondo” group.
