As a classical musician and a teacher, Arthur Pétronio, under the influence of Italian futurists, was interested in other types of composition, mixing instrumentation and voice. His works, to which he gave the name verbophonie, had never been published, except for one or two pieces in specialized anthologies. The project is therefore obvious: Igloo is going to publish a Pétronio record! The making of this cover will be a big DIY celebration: it took hours to assemble and glue the different parts of the object together. The result is still astonishing today and it is not uncommon to find one of the copies in an auction room specialized in visual arts. Nevertheless, in order to allow this recording to circulate better, Alain Géronner will produce a more traditional – although very creative – cover.
