Munsch brings together avant-garde musician Adrien Lambinet (Quark, The Brums, Musiques Nouvelles, …) on trombone and synthesizers, Julien De Borman on diatonic accordion and Brazilian musician Dudu Prudente on percussion.
If Munsch refers to the famous expressionist painting, it is probably because the project was born from an artistic approach that explores the unexpressed cries – those that we cannot make, whether they are internal, sublimated or expelled – and transforms them into melodies, textures or atmospheres.
Through their constant search for space, work on textures and the power of the melodies, Munsch invites us into a world of sound in which each musician pushes the limits of their instruments and takes us on a journey between jazz, folk music and electronics. The accordion and the trombone create a dialogue, the percussion and the synthesizer layers create an airy, bewitching and even meditative atmosphere. The organic rubs shoulders with the electronic, and time seems to stretch towards infinity. And balance is found.
Munsch’s music opens your heart, hits you in the gut, and carries you through intimate soundscapes where electronics defy the dreamlike.
