Charles Loos and Steve Houben have more than merited their position at the fore of Belgian jazz. Both prefer working in the intimate line-ups in which they have learnt to know each other, while managing to come up with surprises. It was almost inevitable that singer Maurane should meet them at some stage. The transformation from a duo to a trio was almost irresistible, giving her carte blanche for the improvisations she practices with such natural talent.
