When we know that there are more than 200 varieties of smoerrebroed in Denmark, Claudine Simon’s last album makes us think – for reasons of diversity – of these demented meals closer to Andersen’s feeling than to that of Kierkegaard. Singer, but here we hear it only at the piano, ClaudIne SImon has composed and arranged themes where one finds a sensibility born of a singularly sharp curiosity.
