His warm and ample tone at soprano saxophone is immediately recognizable. He was elected “Django d’Or 2009” in category confirmed musician . In 2000, he had already received the “Best soprano saxophonist of the year” by the Flemish-language radio stations in Belgium (VRT).
He leads several projects based on the theme of the meeting: Foofango, Ben Anye Kafo Azeto Orkestra and now Al Funduq (“Porta del Vento” Igloo 195, “al Funduq Mughannîn” AZ1016). His research on the inheritance of his Sicilian origins led him to publish those two disks on the songs of the carters, and work to enhance these traditions sung and poetic unknown and extraordinary this island at the crossroads of cultures.

He lives in Burkina Faso from 1995 to 2000 where he founded the group Foofango (2 CDs “Foofango” and “Sarfalao).
