Brussels Jazz Weekend comes alive with the rhythm of IGLOO Records!
Brussels is getting ready to vibrate, and at IGLOO, we couldn't dream of a better playground. The Brussels Jazz Weekend is back, and we are particularly proud to see our artists shine: from those who have been the soul of our catalog for years to those shaking up the scene today.
Don’t Miss: This Year’s "Release Concerts"
The festival is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the release of two major albums published this year:
- Rêve d’Éléphant Orchestra: The "elephants" are celebrating their 25th anniversary with the album Jungle Binche. This will be a true release concert for this joyful and libertarian opus, where trance rhythms and sousaphone grooves lead us into an unprecedented sonic jungle. Catch them Friday, May 22 at 8:15 PM on the Grand Place!
- FOKKOP. UNPLUGGD: The acoustic alter-ego project of the Brussels rap group presents its very first album with IGLOO during a highly anticipated release concert. A bold blend of jazz, spoken word, and baroque lyricism that promises rare intensity. Get an early look at their brand-new vinyl album on Saturday, May 23 at 7:00 PM at Place de la Bourse!
An Eclectic Lineup Rooted in Our Catalog
Beyond these new releases, the IGLOO family will be represented by both established and upcoming projects:
- Manou Gallo: The "Queen of Afro Bass" has been electrifying our catalog for several projects. She will perform her latest Afro Bass Fusion (2025), an album where she pushes the dialogue between Pan-African rhythms and urban grooves even further. She takes the stage right after Rêve d’Éléphant Orchestra on Friday, May 22 at 10:00 PM on the Grand Place!
- Tristan Bernoud: Representing the new guard, the vibraphonist and his Tristan Bernoud Project offer a narrative, sun-drenched jazz in line with his explorations on our label. We can't wait to share this project with you later this year. For a sneak peek, catch him on Saturday, May 23 at 5:30 PM at Place Sainte-Catherine!
- Flat Earth Society Orchestra: The surrealist big band led by Peter Vermeersch returns with their new IGLOO opus, Missa Asinorum (2026). True to the reputation built on albums like The One, they navigate between organized chaos and biting humor for an extraordinary orchestral experience. Their concert will take place on May 23 at 8:15 PM on the Grand Place!
Why Come See Us?
Because jazz is never better than when heard in the heart of the capital. Whether you are a long-time fan or a curious passerby, our artists promise exceptional moments of pure improvisation and stage chemistry.
The IGLOO Tip: Take advantage of the festival to look out for these new releases on our website or at dedicated stands. From Manou Gallo’s cross-cultural grooves to Tristan Bernoud’s poetry, Belgian jazz is truly buzzing!
