Adèle Viret

With her cello and her sensitive artistic vision, Adèle Viret has established herself as one of the rising stars of the European jazz scene.

Winner of a Victoire du Jazz award in 2025 in the ‘Revelation’ category, the cellist performs her own compositions with the ‘Adèle Viret Quartet’. Formed in 2023, the group has enjoyed a promising start to its career, having been named a winner of the Jazz Migration scheme in 2023 and the Euroradio Jazz Competition in 2024.

Backed by a tight rhythm section (Wajdi Riahi on piano, Pierre Hurty on drums) and the gentle tones of Oscar Viret’s trumpet, the quartet weaves music of great instrumental lyricism and reveals a very special chemistry between its four musicians.

Following their debut album *Close to the Water*, which was warmly received by audiences, they released their second album, *Spirality*, on the Igloo Records label in autumn 2026.
