In Tunisian Vibes, the freshness of the sound and its singularity are born from the enthusiasm of Kyle Schafer on piano, the unique touch of Pierre Vaiana on saxophone, and the enthusiasm of Wassim Benrhouma on bass and Malek Lakhoua on drums, two musicians with Tunisian repertoire in their blood.
Between unusual arrangements and unbridled solos, Tunisian Vibes explores a pluralistic jazz style and dresses Tunisian heritage in new clothes. The Kyle Schaffer Quartet’s Tunisian Vibes is produced by Jazzit Records, the first jazz label in Tunisia, founded in 2022 by Malek Lakhoua to create, revisit, and reinvent the Tunisian jazz scene.
