The Gaume Jazz Festival 2026: Come and enjoy the music with IGLOO Records on August 7th!
Nestled in the idyllic setting of Rossignol Park, the Gaume Jazz Festival is set to launch its 42nd edition from 7 to 9 August 2026. True to its reputation as a pioneer and promoter of Belgian jazz, the festival kicks off with a bang on its opening day.
At IGLOO Records, we are proud to showcase our artists there on Friday 7 August 2026 with two of our recent projects: the vocal artistry of Barbara Wiernik and the raw energy of Guillaume Vierset / EDGES.
Better still: our team will be setting up shop in Rossignol with an IGLOO stand open throughout the three days of the festival! Come and visit us between concerts to chat, browse and leave with the finest gems (CDs and vinyls) from our catalogue.
Barbara Wiernik – Between Whispers: The Art of Vocal Thrills
Join us at 6.00 pm for a moment of tenderness and exploration. With her project Between Whispers (IGLOO Records, 2026), singer Barbara Wiernik offers a warm ode to the voices of European jazz.
Here, vocal jazz breaks free from traditional conventions. Accompanied by Sarah Klenes (vocals), Alain Pierre (guitar), Nicolas Fiszman (bass) and Antoine Pierre (drums), Barbara Wiernik weaves a tapestry where voices brush against one another and respond in an ethereal balance. An organic, intimate and thoroughly modern jazz that promises to make time stand still.
Guillaume Vierset [EDGES]: When jazz meets punk rock
A radical change of atmosphere at 6.45 pm. Guitarist and composer Guillaume Vierset arrives with his EDGES project to shake up our line-up.
Promoting the album 404: Bug Not Found (IGLOO Records, 2026), EDGES offers a soundscape that is both edgy and hypnotic. Backed by a formidable line-up : Camille-Alban Spreng (keyboards), Matteo Mazzù (bass) and the indispensable Teun Verbruggen (drums), Vierset injects the edginess of punk and the heaviness of rock into jazz improvisation. An electric and intense live performance not to be missed.
