1989 was Freddie Deronde's year as leader of Spontaneous Effort, a variable band of which Diederick Wissels, Nathalie Loriers, Erwin Vann and other have already been members. For this recording, he is accompanied in a perfect symbiosis by guests friends and stars playing some of his original compositions and some of J.R. Monterose, American tenor whose presence really irradiates this production.
